Accessibility
We want every clock and timer here to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or high-contrast settings.
What we do
- Keyboard: every control is a real button or field you can reach with Tab, with a visible focus outline. Shortcuts: F full screen, T theme, C copy the time, S say the time aloud, Space start or pause timers and stopwatches.
- Screen readers: clocks don't announce every second (which would be overwhelming). The clock's label holds the current time, and a "Say the time aloud" button (or S) speaks it on demand. Timers announce when they finish.
- Contrast: six display themes, including plain white-on-black and black-on-white. If your device asks for more contrast, faint background digits and glows are removed automatically.
- Motion: if your device asks for reduced motion, flip animations and the smooth second hand are turned off.
- Zoom: pages reflow at 200% zoom and on narrow screens without sideways scrolling.
- Sound: alarms and timers always have a visual signal too.
Known limitations
Browsers can pause background tabs and some devices block sound until you interact with the page, so press a button once before relying on an alarm. Our interactive maps are visual; the same information is in the tables beside them.
