GMT vs UTC
UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the world's reference time, kept by atomic clocks. Every time zone is described as an offset from it, like UTC−5 for New York in winter. GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) is the time zone of the Royal Observatory in London. It reads the same as UTC, so the two are used interchangeably day to day, but only UTC is a scientific standard. The UK uses GMT in winter and British Summer Time (UTC+1) from late March to late October. More on UTC vs GMT.

Questions people ask
Does the world clock handle daylight saving time?
Yes. It uses the time zone rules built into your browser, so each city changes its clocks on the right date, including places like Arizona and most of Asia that don't use daylight saving at all.
How do I add a city?
Type a city or time zone in the search box and press Add. Hundreds of cities are available by name, plus every time zone in the world. Your list is saved on this device.
How do I use the meeting planner?
Each row shows the next 24 hours in that city, lined up with your own day. Shaded cells are 9 AM to 5 PM office hours. Tap an hour at the top to see that moment in every city.
How do I reorder or remove cities?
Use the ↑ button to move a city up and × to remove it. Your own city always stays at the top.
What's the difference between GMT and UTC?
For everyday use they're the same time. GMT is a time zone used in the UK and parts of Africa; UTC is the scientific standard that every other zone is defined from. The UK uses GMT in winter and BST (GMT+1) in summer.
