Questions people ask
How many time zones does Europe have?
Mainland Europe uses four standard times: Western European Time (UTC+0), Central European Time (UTC+1), Eastern European Time (UTC+2) and Moscow Time (UTC+3), plus UTC−1 in the Azores.
When do clocks change in Europe?
In the EU, the UK and most neighboring countries, clocks go forward at 01:00 UTC on the last Sunday in March and back at 01:00 UTC on the last Sunday in October, all at the same moment.
Is the EU ending daylight saving time?
The European Parliament voted in 2019 to end seasonal clock changes, but member states have not agreed on how to do it, so the clocks still change twice a year.
