Keyboard shortcuts

Every clock and timer on onlineclock.app can be run from the keyboard. These keys work on any page that has the tool.

Clocks

Key	What it does
`F`	Full screen on or off
`T`	Next color theme
`C`	Copy the current time
`S`	Say the time out loud
`Esc`	Leave full screen

Works on the online clock, flip clock, analog clock and 24-hour clock.

Timers and stopwatch

Key	What it does
`Space`	Start or pause
`R`	Reset
`L`	Record a lap (stopwatch)
`F`	Full screen
`T`	Next color theme

Works on the timer, stopwatch, Pomodoro timer and interval timer.

Chess clock

Key	What it does
`A or left Shift`	Left player ends their move
`L or right Shift`	Right player ends their move
`Space`	Press the clock of the player whose turn it is

Open the chess clock.

Ask

Key	What it does
`/`	Jump to the Ask box
`Enter`	Get the answer

Try it on the Ask page: type things like "3pm PST to London" or "days until Christmas".

Questions people ask

Why doesn't a shortcut work?

Shortcuts are switched off while you're typing in a box, so click on an empty part of the page first. They also don't fire if you hold Ctrl, Cmd or Alt, so they never clash with your browser's own shortcuts.

Do shortcuts work on a phone or tablet?

Only with a keyboard attached. On touch screens, use the buttons under the clock or timer; they do the same thing.

How do I leave full screen?

Press F again or Esc.
