How to Get a Bigger Clock on Windows 10 and 11
The taskbar clock is tiny. Here are four ways to see the time bigger on Windows, from built-in settings to a full-screen clock.
The clock in the Windows taskbar is small, and Windows 11 doesn't let you resize it. If you want the time big enough to read from across the desk, here are your options.
1. Use a full-screen web clock
Open onlineclock.app and press F. It's free, needs no install, and works on any monitor. Turn on Keep screen on so Windows doesn't put the display to sleep.
To make it feel like an app, open the page in Microsoft Edge, click the ⋯ menu, then Apps → Install this site as an app. It then gets its own window and a Start menu icon.
2. Make everything bigger with display scaling
Go to Settings → System → Display → Scale and pick 125% or 150%. The taskbar clock grows with everything else. It's a blunt tool, though: your whole screen gets bigger.
3. Add seconds to the taskbar clock
On Windows 11, go to Settings → Personalization → Taskbar → Taskbar behaviors and tick Show seconds in system tray clock. It doesn't make it larger, but it's more useful.
4. Use the Clock app widget
The built-in Clock app has timers, alarms and a world clock, but no large clock face. For a big always-visible clock, a full-screen page or a second monitor works better.
Which is best?
For a clock you can read from across the room, a full-screen clock on a spare monitor or old laptop beats anything in the taskbar. See how to set up a second-monitor clock.
