Do the clocks go back or forward in the fall?
Back. In autumn, clocks go back one hour ("fall back"), so you get an extra hour in bed. In spring they go forward ("spring forward").
What time do the clocks go back in the US?
At 2:00 a.m. local time on the first Sunday in November, clocks go back to 1:00 a.m. In 2026 that's Sunday, November 1; in 2027, November 7.

Will my phone change automatically?

Is the time change being abolished?
Not yet. The US Sunshine Protection Act to make daylight time permanent has passed the Senate once (2022) but never become law, and the EU's 2019 vote to end clock changes stalled. So clocks still change twice a year.
