Questions people ask
How do I enter an overnight shift?
Just enter the times as they are, like 10:00 PM in and 6:00 AM out. The calculator sees that the end is earlier than the start and counts it as the next day.
How do I convert minutes to decimal hours?
Divide the minutes by 60. 15 minutes = 0.25, 30 = 0.5, 45 = 0.75. The calculator shows both formats for every day.
How is overtime calculated?
With overtime on, hours over 40 in the week are paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate, which matches the US federal rule for most hourly workers. Your state or contract may differ.
Is my time card saved?
Yes, on this device only. Nothing is sent anywhere.
