The MoonSwatch is a bioceramic, quartz version of the Omega Speedmaster made by Swatch, launched on March 26, 2022 in 11 versions named for the Sun, Moon and planets at $260. Special editions followed: Moonshine Gold seconds hands released on full moons (from 2023), the Snoopy Mission to the Moonphase (2024, $310), the Earthphase (2024) and the MoonSwatch 1965 (2025).

What is the MoonSwatch?

Omega and Swatch both belong to Swatch Group. In 2022 they joined forces on a playful version of the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch: the same shape and dial layout, made in colorful bioceramic (ceramic mixed with castor-oil-based plastic) with a battery-powered quartz chronograph. It cost about 3% of a real Speedmaster, and on launch day crowds queued for hours outside Swatch stores worldwide.

US prices for many models rose in 2025 after new US tariffs on Swiss goods; standard models now sell for roughly $280 or more.

How to buy a MoonSwatch

Only Swatch sells them, in Swatch stores and on swatch.com for some models. Omega boutiques do not.
Special editions are often store-only and limited to one per person per day.
Resale prices for rare editions (Moonshine Gold, Snoopy, 1969) can be several times retail; standard planets are easy to find near retail.
Fakes exist: buy from Swatch or check serial numbers and packaging carefully.
