CST – Central Standard Time
CST is UTC−6.
Central Standard Time is used in the central US and Canada (Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Minneapolis) in winter, and all year in most of Mexico, Central America and Saskatchewan. Manitoba (Winnipeg) leaves the zone in November 2026 for permanent UTC−5.
In summer, places on CST switch to CDT (Central Daylight Time, UTC−5). People often keep saying “CST” all year, but strictly it's only correct in the standard-time months.
