PST – Pacific Standard Time

PST is UTC−8.

Pacific Standard Time is used in the US West Coast (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas) in winter. British Columbia stopped using it in 2026 and now stays on UTC−7 all year.

In summer, places on PST switch to PDT (Pacific Daylight Time, UTC−7). People often keep saying “PST” all year, but strictly it's only correct in the standard-time months.
