GMT – Greenwich Mean Time
GMT is UTC±0.
Greenwich Mean Time is used in the UK and Ireland in winter, and all year in Iceland and parts of West Africa (Ghana, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire).
In summer, places on GMT switch to BST (British Summer Time, UTC+1). People often keep saying “GMT” all year, but strictly it's only correct in the standard-time months.
