Time zone slider: compare time zones at a glance

See any moment across several cities at once. Drag the line to an hour and every city's local time and date follow, with working hours, evenings and night shaded so you can spot a good meeting time.

Working hoursMorning / eveningNightMidnight (date changes)

The first city is the base: the strip runs from its midnight to midnight. Tap ○ next to another city to make it the base. Use ← → to move 15 minutes, Shift + arrow for an hour.

Find a time that works for everyone

Look for a column where every row is green or light blue. If there isn't one, the edges of the working day are usually the best compromise: early morning on the US West Coast is late afternoon in Europe. For a longer list of people with their own working hours, use the meeting planner; to convert one specific time, the time zone converter; and for clocks you leave running, the world clock.

    Questions people ask

How do I compare time zones with the slider?

Add the cities you need, then drag the line (or use the arrow keys) to any hour. Every row shows the local time and date at that same moment, and the colors show who is at work, awake or asleep.

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes. Pick the date of your meeting and the offsets are calculated for that day, including days when the clocks change.

How do I share a time with my team?

Press Copy link. The link opens the same cities, date and time for anyone. Copy times gives you plain text to paste into a chat or email.

    What do the colors mean?

Green is 9 AM to 5 PM, the usual working day. Light blue is early morning and evening, and dark blue is night. An orange edge marks midnight, where the date changes.
